Hosts from three generations
Mom? Always on the move with her many grandchildren and on the go everywhere in the house. The dad? With son Peter Jr. a rock in the surf, even though he has officially handed over the baton. Peter and Nina? The masterminds and passionate hosts who give the house that special touch - each in their own special way. And Jonas and Nora, the 3rd generation, are already happily wandering around the hotel - as taster trainees under cover, so to speak.
We all know what a genuine smile can do. An invitation to feel at home. We have built and organized a lot at the Molzbachhof to create this warm and welcoming atmosphere. But above all, we are delighted by the cordial cooperation that connects our entire team with our guests. In every smile lies the magic of comforting familiarity. For you and for us.
We were born to treat nature with respect - we like to let our guests feel this, as they come to us because of nature. This connects us to a larger family that spells wellness differently.
We Pichlers are now the third generation to run the Hotel Molzbachhof as an inviting wellness alternative.
He will decide for himself what he makes of his future. But it looks as if the family has inherited a natural talent for warm hospitality. Grandparents Edith and Anton founded the Molzbachhof in 1969 as a small guesthouse with six rooms. The guesthouse blossomed into a hotel. When Peter's parents Peter and Anni took over in 1984, there were new accents and new successes as a wellness hotel with the motto "for body and soul".
Now it's the turn of Nina and Peter Jr. Their years of apprenticeship in the wide world have shown them what a treasure they can look after here on site.
Peter was born in 1987. Even as a child, you could see his passion for helping out in his parents' business.
He graduated from the tourism school in Semmering. This was followed by 2 years at the Döllerer restaurant, where he gained his first experience of toque-awarded gastronomy. He then moved to the Taubenkobel for 2 years together with Nina, where he grew to become Chef de Partie under Walter Eselböck. In the years that followed, Peter cooked with Dieter Koschina at the Vila Joya in Portugal, after a good year he became sous chef and co-managed the kitchen. The journey continued at the hotel restaurant "Gidleigh Park", where Michael Caines, one of England's best chefs, was executive chef. Peter was soon his sous chef and implemented his boss's ideas in the kitchen. After all the years of training, Peter returned home in 2013, where he soon took over the kitchen. Since 2015, Peter has taken over the business from his father, his passion is the kitchen but he also takes care of a lot of business management activities.
Cook the Gart'l!
"This is the name of my kitchen line, which is characterized by all the regional ingredients from our agricultural neighbors and our own herbs, paired with the techniques and ideas of international cuisine."
Nina was born in Bruck an der Mur in 1986 and discovered the joy of working with people at an early age.
She attended the tourism school in Semmering, where she also met and fell in love with Peter. This was followed by 2 years in Kitzbühel before she worked together with Peter at the Taubenkobel, where she established herself as Chef de Rang. She enjoyed her 2 years at the "Vila Joya" restaurant in Portugal to the full. She then moved to England to the hotel restaurant "Gidleigh Park" where she not only improved her English skills, but also worked her way up to restaurant manager.
Since 2013, she has been the leading force of natural talent at Peter's side, taking care of reception, service, weddings, the wine cellar and much more.
Cordiality is more than just a word
"I've always been fascinated by contact with people, during my apprenticeship years at home and abroad and even more so now. Getting to know new people, enjoying regular guests with whom we share memories and stories....that's warmth"
Peter Sr. was born in 1958 as the son of Anton and Edith Pichler.
He attended the tourism school in St. Pölten. Peter then lived in the family-run business, a vacation home, where he also helped out. In 1969, the Pichler family opened the Molzbachhof, which he took over at the age of 26. He was always a forward thinker and over the years he turned the small guesthouse into a wellness hotel, which more and more people visited every year. In 1985, he married his wife Anna, with whom he had two children, son Peter and daughter Elisabeth. His ideas such as the adventure mill, Paradiesgart'l, heating plant..... make the Molzbachhof what it is today. Today, the senior boss takes care of the garden, the heating plant, meat preparation, bookkeeping and many other things in the background.
For body and soul
"I'm delighted to see how our little plant Molzbachhof has grown into a strong tree over the years. In addition to cooking, which I did every day for over 40 years, my passion today belongs to the organic heating system, the garden and my two grandchildren"
Anna was born in Rettenegg in Styria in 1960.
She also comes from a family of innkeepers and was already looking after the guests at the regulars' table when she was at school.
She attended the home economics school in Graz and was already intended as a successor in her parents' inn, but when she met and fell in love with Peter one evening at her favorite disco, the "Eselstränke", she followed him to Kirchberg. She always had a penchant for flowers and brought warmth to the Molzbachhof right from the start. In the 90s, the Molzbachhof and Anna received several awards for their table and flower decorations. Today she is still responsible for all the decorations in the house and takes care of the flowers on the tables, helps in the service and wherever else she is needed.
Versatility as a passion
"Personal contact with the guests was and still is very important to me, in the early days we still wrote the Christmas post by hand... That's unimaginable today. Even today, I still enjoy being among the guests, although of course I also really enjoy spending time with my grandchildren"
Jonas was born on March 28, 2017, the first son of Peter and Nina.
He has been at the hotel since his first days and enchants staff and guests alike. He has to "work" all the time and helps Grandpa in the garden, Grandma with the flowers, Mom with setting the tables and Dad in the kitchen. When he has time, he also plays with his digger and in the sandpit. Time will tell what he decides to do, but one thing is clear...he is a "natural" from the ground up
Nora is the youngest and was born on July 22, 2019.
She is already busy on her own two feet and visits the guests to greet them. She is, of course, the pride and joy of her big brother, but she can already give him a run for his money.
The Naturtalente can proudly count themselves among the Change Maker Hotels. The hosts have been committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly management for several generations - for a healthy world worth living in.
