Green electricity, regionality and rooms made of wood
Nature gives us many gifts, which we process further at the Naturhotel Molzbachhof . You will not only find regionality on your plate. We use our own green electricity, bake our own bread and process the eggs from our own chickens.
The energy center
The nature hotel has its own energy center, which generates green electricity and local heating from the richness of the forests around the Kirchberg region. A wood gas cogeneration plant and biomass heating plant were built in 2016.
Wood chips are used to produce wood gas, which is then used to generate electricity. The heat generated during electricity production covers the entire heating requirements of the Molzbachhof and is also supplied to the nearby Sachsenbrunn secondary school.
We pay attention to sustainability
Around 150,000 liters of heating oil and 20,000 liters of liquid gas are saved every year. By simultaneously generating electricity and usable heat for heating purposes (local heating), the plant also makes an important contribution to relieving the strain on the grid and to regional security of supply with electricity and heat

Wooden room
The "Holzbach" extension, built in 2017, is made entirely of wood and was constructed entirely without iron nails, paint or glue. Experience a very special kind of sleep in what is only the third wooden hotel in Austria.
Vacations with natural added value
In the Holzbach you literally live in nature. Solid wood surrounds you like a second skin. The building biology walls, high-quality floors, ceilings and furniture are free from harmful building chemicals. The natural talents of wood are fully utilized here: World record for thermal insulation, six-fold fire protection, maximum earthquake resistance. Another advantage? According to Thoma, sleeping in wood is good for the heart.

The 16 guest rooms in the Baumgeflüster and Waldtraum categories in the Holzbach not only revitalize your sense of well-being, they also offer the highest level of comfort. On the first floor, the relaxation area Naturtalente inspires relaxation, with direct access to the Paradiesgart'l and the pool. The gourmet restaurant Gaumenkitzel pampers your taste buds in a small, exquisite setting.

Regionality first and foremost
At the Naturhotel Molzbachhof you will find fresh eggs from our own hens at the breakfast buffet. The animals always have top priority. Mass farming is a foreign word.
