The nearby forest is not only great for playing tag and hide-and-seek, it's also a wonderful place to explore and discover nature.

At the Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen, you can enjoy the alpine summer to the full. Take the lift up to the mountain pasture and follow the swing path or one of the many hiking trails to one of the mountain huts, where you can let the delicacies melt in your mouth. For an action kick at the end of the day, head back down to the valley on the scooter track with the scooters or mountain carts.

You can enjoy winter on the Erlebnisalm on 13.5 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes. From young to old, from beginners to advanced skiers, everyone gets their money's worth in Mönichkirchen. This makes the Alm the perfect family excursion destination.
HAMARI climbing park Mönichkirchen
With 15 different courses, 104 stations and a climbing route of 950m, our climbing park is the largest high ropes course in the Lower Austrian Alps. There you will find fun courses at different heights for every level of difficulty and children's courses for the little ones from the age of 3. The highlights are the 5 over 650m long Flying Fox courses as well as the black course for climbing pros, the 12m high climbing wall and the over 50m long children's Flying Fox.

At the Eis-Greissler Adventure Park in Krumbach, you can experience a unique adventure for the whole family on one of the countless hills of the Bucklige Welt. Whether on the milk shaker, the slide tower, the mogul run, the bouncy cushions or the ice time travel - everyone gets their money's worth here.
At Eis-Greissler in the Bucklige Welt, you will not only find classic ice cream flavors such as strawberry or chocolate, but also more unusual varieties, whereby care is taken to ensure that the ice cream really tastes like what it is named after - naturally made from the milk of their own cows and regional ingredients wherever possible.
Hermann's Cave
The Hermannshöhle is the largest stalactite cave and the most important bat hibernation site in Lower Austria. A visit to the cave is a nature experience in a nearby but unknown world. Stalactites, bats, rock formations, healthy sterile air. All of this is easy to visit on good, electrically lit paths as part of a guided tour. Our state-certified cave guides offer additional specialist background knowledge.
From the parking lot (also for buses) it is a 5-minute walk to the cave entrance. There you will be welcomed by the cave guide. The tour itself lasts approx. 1 hour 30 minutes, including the return to the cave entrance.
Mandl's goat farm
The idyllic organic goat farm in the heart of the Bucklige Welt puts the species-appropriate husbandry of the animals and the high quality of the versatile products made from goat's milk first. This quality can be experienced at first hand in the newly designed "Ziegenpanorama" or on a guided tour of the farm and, of course, enjoyed during a tasting afterwards. If you can't get enough of the products, you can find regional specialties to take home with you in the farm store.
